I loved the balance between the sexy romance and the edge-of-your-seat suspense in At Her Command. But even beyond the great plot, At Her Command features characters you'll enjoy getting to know and hate saying good-bye to.

Dominique Petracelli is a fearless, ambitious heroine whose strength masks her insecurities. As Dominique takes on the case as well as the hero, you'll see how she becomes more confident and secure in her self worth.

The hero, Dalton Cutter, has his own insecurities to conquer, guilt over his partner's murder and a serious lack of trust in women.

It's great to see how getting to know each other helps Dominique and Dalton grow as people.

At Her Command is an excellent read, and I look forward to reading more books by Marcia James.
... because you will not want to put it down. The sexual tension is unbelievable. The main heroine, Domino, posing as a dom and hero Dalton, posing as a client, have some of the hottest scenes I have ever read. Their initial deception and struggle for the upper hand gets things going and the suspense of the plot had me on the edge of my seat. Once you've read this, it'll be on your re-read list.
"At Her Command" was a pleasant surprise! The characters are vivid and people you would like to know. The setting had my giggling at times and feeling warm at others. Loved the complexity at times that kept the suspense going. Very well done Marcia James. Looking forward to reading another of your books!
AT HER COMMAND by Marcia James wasn't quite what I expected, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. Ms James' setting and characters - a BDSM club and cops, DEA and FBI agents - is a strange and delightful mix.

The interaction and dialogue between Dominque (Mistress Bella, an undercover DEA agent posing as dominatrix) and Dalton (Bull, an undercover cop determined to bring his partner's killer to justice) is fast paced, sexy and fun. I liked the way Ms James introduced this reader to the world of kinky sex clubs without overwhelming me with too many "details" about what goes on there. She keeps the focus of the story on the growing relationship between the hero and the heroine. Their sex, while not of the kinky variety, is hot, hot, hot!

I also enjoyed the beginning secondary romance between Suzi, another cop and Calvin, an FBI agent. I hope they get their own book.

If you like stories with sexy law officers, creepy villains and steamy sex AT HER COMMAND is a must read.
Dominique Petracelli, Domino, loves her job and takes it very seriously. She has worked hard to be the best DEA agent possible and it has not always been easy as it is a male dominated world. The department has just found themselves in the possession of some very interesting information regarding the death of a local police detective. Domino cannot believe what her new assignment is...she is going undercover in a sex club as a dominatrix.

Dalton Cutter cannot believe his partner and best friend, Jason, was found dead of an apparent overdose. Dalton does not believe for one minute that Jason died of an overdose. He blames himself as Jason was doing undercover work in a local sex club and the job had really been assigned to Dalton. Even though Dalton is taken off the case, he decides to do a little investigating on his own. Dalton is joining the club and going in as a client.

Domino is very nervous about her assignment and does not know what to except from her first client, but it definitely is not the sexy man who certainly does not want to actually be "dominated" by Mistress Bella. Dalton is very uncomfortable about meeting Mistress Bella and is shocked by his attraction to her. While the attraction between the two is strong and instantaneous, both realize that their relationship can go nowhere. Neither realizes that they are basically working the same case until one night when they both almost get caught by the boss. As they start working together, their relationship takes them to even higher levels. Will their relationship be as strong once they have finished the case?

At Her Command was a fun, sexy, and thoroughly entertaining read! Marcia James writes characters that draw you in and have your rooting for them from the start. Domino is a strong and smart woman who knows exactly what she wants until she meets Dalton. Dalton is a no-nonsense detective who does not really believe in love. I loved the sexual tension between Domino and Dalton and the scenes with Mistress Bella were great. At Her Command was plain and simply fun and Marcia James is definitely going on my must read list!!
