The Way of the Gray Mr JG Martino Books
This is a tale of an ancient way, and an ancient world, that is told simply and yet with a depth of simmering passion. Martino’s writing style is restrained enough to bring the characters to the forefront, without having them seem over-drawn. At just about 100 pages, The 13th World: Book One is an enticing introduction to The Way of the Gray. The written imagery is beautifully amplified by amazing pen and ink line drawings throughout. The images are unsigned, leaving me wanting to know whether the illustrator is the author, or another artist. Regardless, the novella is a satisfying venture and a Book Two would be most welcome to fans of this genre.Product details

The Way of the Gray Mr JG Martino Books Reviews
Having been a fan of Joe Martino's comicbook work (Shadowflame, The Mighty Titian, Cyberines), so I picked up a copy of this, his first prose novella where he goes in a wholly different direction. Thoroughly schooled in the world of brightly-clad, muscle-bound, spandex-wearing heroes, Martino has chosen to build his first prose work around the world of Ancient Norse mythology, replete with dragons, sword-wielding barbarians, Kings, and royalty. He manages to build a very believable world that promises to be the first building block in rich tapestry in an exciting new world of mythic adventures. If you like Conan, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, or IronJaw then you will surly like The Way of the Gray.
I liked this book. It was a quick read that didn’t have a lot of nonsense in it. Sometimes it’s nice to read a book like that. I like the world that this book takes place in. It would be interesting to explore this world more. I highly recommend this book if you like fantasy world warrior tales.
Joe's comics rock!
I loved this book because the author delivered this story in a way that I could really feel the emotion of the main character and his plight. The ups and downs between action and intimate moments throughout really surprised me in such a good way. More please.
I've known Joe for a few years and if you've read the Mighty Titan then you're familiar with his comics. In Way Of The Gray he goes on a different direction from comics to fantasy. And he does it well. Love the mixture of Well researched history and mithology and fantastic creatures in one read. I can't wait for more books on this series. It's keeps you interested from page one and leaves you wanting more. Get this book TODAY!
The tragic legend of Garrudd. The author did a great job of bringing us into Garrudd's life so we could understand and feel his pain and glory both. I did not put it down until I was finished.
Looking forward to more from Martino.
This is a fairly good story. It keeps switching back to the past and forward to the present which I found irritating. It has a number of inconsistencies e. g. the story is set in a mythical world but part of it is in Iceland. There are several spelling mistakes
